Greythorn is a full-service exterior home care company in Wyoming, Ohio. The work is done by local students in their first real job, trained to a standard and backed by advisors who have run businesses like this one.

One crew for the whole outside of the house.

We handle flatwork pressure washing for driveways, walkways, decks and pool decks; lawn care; ground-level window cleaning; leaf removal; and winter snow service. It all sits on seasonal plans built so you never have to think about it.

How we develop the crew

A first real job, treated seriously

We hire local graduating high school seniors. Every crew member is trained to a documented standard before they touch a customer's property, and paid above minimum wage with bonuses tied to quality and referrals — not speed.

Crew chiefs who are accountable by name

Crew chiefs are 18 or older, carry their own direct line, and are personally responsible for the homes on their route. That is the kind of ownership most people do not get until years into a career.

A speaker series, not a summer paycheck

Founders, investors and young professionals from the owner's network sit down with the crew and talk candidly about money, careers and first jobs — then take questions. Crew members learn how a business actually makes money, how to talk to a customer, and how to sell.

Routes handed off in person

When a crew member leaves for college, they hand their route to their successor themselves and introduce them to every customer on it. It is a professional transition most adults never learn to execute well.
